Lesson Details
   

The piano and guitar lessons I provide are classical theory based.  Guitar students may choose a "type" of music they would like to focus on (rock, classical, etc.).. Guitar students may learn on an acoustic or electric guitar. 

Lessons are given weekly in my home and are 1/2 hour. Parents are welcome and encouraged to observe lessons, but are free to drop their student off if this is most convenient.  I will evaluate your student at their first lesson and will determine the appropriate books.  I will purchase the books for your student and payment for books will be expected at the next lesson.  Piano students will need 4 books to start, and guitar students will need 1 book to start.  Music books typically range in price from $6 - $8 per book.

UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY: As your music student progresses, he/she will choose a song that they've been working on to record! I will professionally record your student and enhance their recording withdrums, keys, guitar etc. and your student will have their very own CD!  This is a unique opportunity for your student, and offers them a keepsake of their musical progress!  Depending on progress, students will be given an opportunity to record approximately 2 - 4 times per year.  For a sample of my recordings, please visit www.myspace.com/finalcallrock ..  All instruments and vocals are performed by me on these recordings, and were mixed and mastered by me in my studio.

 
STUDENT EXPECTATIONS:  Students are expected to practice a minimum of 20 min. per day. Daily practice is vital to assure adequate progress.  A student cannot expect to play proficiently without daily practice.  Lessons are graded each week, and at the end of the session, in the Spring, the student with the most high grades will receive a reward.
